rebuilt z22se minus crank. For sale or will split £400

As above ive just gone through the long process of fully rebuilding my z22se only to find my crank as good as scrap.
sent all the parts away to be re done and then received everything but the crank back. Then fitted the head, pistons etc whilst i awaited the crank to be re ground. Then found out they couldnt get oversize bearings for it so bit the bullet and bought a low mileage lump and dropped it straight. Crank was scrap due to 1 wear mark on the journal deeper than others. Tried to get hold of another crank only to be ripped off on arrival via courier.

Work done to my old engine:
Block honed
New Big ends
New piston rings
Head skimmed
New valve stem seals
Valves reground
New headgasket
Complete headset
Sump set (but i used the oil pump gasket for my new engine)
New headbolts

Anyway will either split or sell whole. Also have a spare pair of balancer shafts.

depending where u are, i might be interested, my engine has bit the dust, chain snapped, and the mechanic says no oil in the engine, but only 10 days after a supposed full service. got my suspicions bout the garage that said they did the service. do u think i could transplant the crank and all needed parts outa my wrecked engine and put it in ur one?

Im in the north west cheshire. If your carnk is o.k then yeah. With a new set of bearings it will go straight in. Can arrange courier if anybodys interested.

do you know how much a courier would be to inverness? is it a big job to remove the crank from my current dead engine? also can i use the bearings from that one, or would i need to get new ones? sorry bout the list of questions, lol. shopping around for new one atm, not impressed with some of the prices that are coming back, got a quote for a reconditioned engine, £1590 + vat. had visions of needing to scrap my motor, litereally months after gettin her 🙁

it's quite easy to swap the crank over :thumbup:

hmmm, tempting, very tempting, i can get a complete engine from a breakers down in england for £600 inc delivery to the garage my cars sitting at. what have you done to this engine that is an improvement on the standard, im a bit lost wen u listed honed block etc, is that better than it was or did it just need done?

honing a block is what you do to clean up the cylinder bore walls before fitting new piston rings. Other than a rebuild the engine is standard. Can get you a price on postage too mate. As for using your old bearings its a personal choice mate.

yea, a price would be great, so is it recommended to get new bearings, or is it 6 and half a dozen? how wouldi pay you, it might be over a month till i can get that money together, loads of other crap needs funding atm as well, sorry

i would do the head for say 220 delivered? As for the engine i would personally fit new bearing along with the crank, or get the crank re ground and over sized bearings. Dont mind holding the engine as long as a deposit is left. As for payment, paypal personal cheque, postal order etc dont mind.

I think £220 is a fair price myself mate.
There is 1 on ebay advertised at £575 which is reconditioned. The following is a list of work which has been done to it.:
This cylinder head is fully stripped and cleaned
full decoke including ports and combustion area
pressure tested
skimmed
all seats refaced
all valves refaced and lapped
new stem seals fitted
built up with valves,springs and cams ready to fit

Mine has had all the above work done but just hasnt had the seats done or cleaned to make it look like new. It was decoked as much as the fella could and cost me alot of money to get skimmed, cleaned, valves refaced and lapped, stem seals etc
