tyres for the wet and cold

Hi Guys, not on here often but need help, have 03 coupe 2.2 with 215 / 45 / 17 rims and cheap tyres which were fine over the summer but now the roads are cold and wet just coming out of roundabouts i'm spinning up and sometimes i'm not sure i'm gonna turn right around a roundabout. Need reccomendations for good tyres in the wet at under or near £100 a corner.

PS also there seems to be some descrepancy about 40 or 45 series profile - the vauxhall book suggest 40 but the 45 profile better matches the original 195 tyre diameter?

Goodyear F1, Goodyear NCT5, Toyo T1-R (I have them with lots of power going through), Falkens???

Personally, I don't take any chances with tyres, its the only thing between you and the road and the next thing that you may crash into if you can't stop.

yes I always buy the best for my bikes, but this is the first new set I have required for the coupe and have not kept up to date on car tyre technologies, Thanks for the suggestions. G.

and I'll be getting those again when I need to replace the ones on the Astra, as they have come down in price by almost £20 each.

I'm going to be putting some Kumo KU31's on our coupe next time they due, I've run them on the last 2 VX's (including a 300bhp turbo one) i've had and are a great all round tyre, wet or dry, road or track. Also brilliant value for money.

After some considerations I have put 2 new P6000's on my original 205 50 16 rims and, removed my wolfraces 17in for the time being, I'll take the time to clean them up either to sell on or put them back on the car next spring, after the salt has gone. Thanks for all your suggestions.

only wish i had seen this earlier p6000 bad move , especially in winter, you should have got some winter tyres,

winter tyres arent just for snow they are for operating in cooler temps the compound is designed for it they also deal with wet weather better
