Chain question for info after searching.

I've done a bit of searching on the the chain problem and it seems that the adjuster bolt should have slots cut in the edges to show the chain revision has been done, but my car does not have a large hex bolt, it has a round head bold with a large torx/star drive in the centre so how can i tell if its had the recall or later spec chain setup?

Welcome to the site. The slots in the Hex bolt are NOT an indication that the chain kit has been changed for the updated kit. The only way to tell if the chain has been replaced is if you have the paperwork to prove it or by stripping off the chain cover to see if the oil style oil jet is in place. There is no other way of telling.

The slots in the hex only indicate a new style tensioner.

with that mileage I would change it anyway!
