TMS remaps in the midlands

Hi,

Im john from Brindley vauxhall in the west midlands, we are now officially a thorney motorsport performance centre offering remap services to all vauxhall engines. the remap for the the 2.2 will give you a est. increase of 17bhp+ (better with a 2.4 manifold fitted) + est. torque increase of 10lbs+ and all other engines will vary but the most improvements are made with the turbo charged engines (especially the diesels).

or with Bluefin - £499 inc. VAT

Bluefin* - allows you to immoblise the vehicle also reads dtc's.

Welcome to the site. Very interested to see 17bhp increase on a NA 2.2 engine by mapping alone.

welcome to the site, I believe the biggest bhp increase is at a certain point in the power band rather than at the top end :thumbup:

Thats right chap, its like that with most maps, plain to see when seen on the graph.

I should have explained myself a little better, I would be interested in a before and after graph for comparison.

I had a tms stage 2+ remap, then a tms 2.4 remap cheers..

you will find that many owners on this site have tweaked their z22se engines

from simple air filters to throttle bodies and supercharged showo..

yeah, just noticed, lol

could do with knowing the spec as the prices ive given are for a stage 1 standard car set up and tbh ill have to talk to thorney about what stage if any are suitable with vecs fitted with the superchargers.

how many peeps have got these supercharged 2.2's and where was they done?

I'm Supercharged Vectra #2, lol! (z22se engine)

Stage 2 SC
Eaton M62 Supercharger
Pro-Alloy Charge Cooler & seperate electric water pump
Schrick Cams & Double Valve Springs
8.5-1 lowered compression
KMS Management for boost injectors
dbilas 4-1 manifold
Modified Cylinder Head
2.5 inch Custom S/S downpipe and 200cpi HJS sport cat
2.5 inch S/S Milltek catback.

I like to have a look at mapping graphs to see where the power is being gained on the NA 2.2 engine. Here's my graphs from when I got the car back 18 months ago.

Supercharged conversions are either by Courtenay Sport in Norfolk or homebuilds with Courtenay Sport final mapping/setup.

1 off Astra (Mark Watts Courtenay Sport)
2 off Vectra B (John Needs/Paul Pound)

The remainder of SC vehicles are vx220 of which there are many.

Good to have you on board mate, i'd be very interested in before and after graphs, especially for the 2.4 manifold as mines still sat in its box as I really didn't want to sacrifice any torque especially in the heavy Vectra C. Mines a Z22SE but there are many Z22YH owners out there looking for more power also.

I presume these maps are just superchip maps that thorney are sending to you?

As said a before and after graph would be nice to see on a 2.2

TMS own the maps, superchips are just a filing cabinet for thorney, every remap done in the country done via superchips or others are by tms anyway obviously not if done via RR.

For those wanting to see the graphs you will have to be patient while i get my hands on them but it will be a standard 2.2 with the stage 1 remap thats if there even is one but ill be in touch eithier way.
