Sorry i aint dropped in for a while! Just wanted to announce that she's back on the road after 5 long weeks in the costly garage 😃
my last engine was strved of oil which resulted in her droppin a rod and more or less writtin off the engine 🙁
just thought i would fill you in on my costly error...
2nd hand engine £920 (44k)
timming chain kit £104.08
clutch kit £169.18
( turns out when the engine arrived my garage told me the old chain was so slack on it that it had worn through the oil nozzle and the guide was broken up on the casing so the head needed to come off to investigate poss valve damage) dunno..
£168 skimmin, head kit & labour!
oil filter,enginge oil,engine flush,power steering fluid, fan belt etc £196
mechanics labour £305.20
Oh and she needed 2 new tyres on the front that i got on ebay 4 £100 fitted n balanced...
