Fuel consumption

Just wondering if anybody can give me some advice please, I have just had my vec b 2.2 serviced using all genuine parts from vx, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, pollen filter and gm oil, But I seem to be using more petrol than usual, garage cant find a leak and tech computer cant find any faults, they also done an emissions check and passed, I filled the petrol tank to the max reset the counter and done 91miles to 20 litres of petrol town driving, can anyone tell me if that’s about right?

Just over 20mpg. I wouldn't say that this is great really. What sort of driving do you do? Before my conversion I used to get 19/20mpg going to work and back because it was only a 2 mile journey. Traffic can play a big part too if you're hanging about in it.

Maybe take the car on the motorway for a little trip and reset the computer on the dash and see what your averaging at about 60mph. On a flat at 60mph you should be getting at least 38mpg.

Hi Johnny, thanks for the reply, cant say the traffic has been any worse than usual, like you only do short runs to work and do the same runs from week to week, just seems to be using more petrol since it got serviced

I get around 100miles to £10 thats a combo of motorway and twon driving, I've noticed that on the motorway the car loves it and I managed about 260miles out of £20 however short little trips my consumption turns to shite, and the other day I was stuck in traffic on the M27 and the old trip computer milage range kept going down and down the longer I was in traffic...

short around town journeys and expect 20 mpg and under

i drove my girlfriend to work which was 10 mins drive and rarely got above 30 mph due to traffic and constant stop / start
