I haven't come across a large port TB yet. IIRC, the standard port diameter is 57mm. The port can really be only smoothed out allowing a better flow of air into the intake. If you try removing large amounts of material you are going to run into trouble as the amount of air in will cause confusion with the MAP sensor and it will shut down the TB.
