anas Hi all. I want your advice because this my fist post. I’ve 2003 vectra with z22se engine automatic transmition I have a problem with my gear box which make knocking between gears and delay after releasing brake pedal so the local dealer said the it needs fix and will cost too much so I decided to replace the gear box. But on the other hand despite my engine is running but I have a big problem in oil consumption. And too high fuel consumption 6 km/l and sometimes 5.9 km/l so I am thinking about replacing the engine with gearbox so I can have good price for both together. I read that z22yh is more powerful and more economic than z22se my question is it possible to change the engine to z22yh on the same ecu if not what I need change to do this Please your advice because in our country we they don’t have an idea about this replacement and they said that it will work on the same ecu
MikeS they just got different fuel setups really, hardly any difference in the 2 static fuel pressure, air flow meter, cat is located on manifold, different inlet manifold and sometimes a different throttle body
