Strange click when touching/releasing accelerator

Can anyone help?

Recently there's been a very audible click when I put my foot on or release it from the accelerator.

This doesnt happen when stationary, with the engine off or on, but only when the cars moving.

It definitely didn't use to do this. Any ideas?

Im presuming it must be the throttle cable.

It couldn't be that the chain has got so loose that when I accelerate, the clunk is taking up the slack? Could it?

the 2.2 engine is fly by wire m8, no cable 🙂

can u feel the clunk on the steering wheel ?

could be an engine mount??

No I only feel it through the pedal, not through the steering wheel.

I will go away and try and come up with a better description!
