MPG in the Astra

Just worked out the MPG I've been getting in the Astra. Now, this is all town driving, so quite a few short trips, and traffic etc.

181 miles covered
31.33 litres of fuel used
Shell Vpower - 114.9p

26.26mpg working it out manually.

That is good, will it ever drastically drop? It must be tempting to 'give it some' especially being so new!

Yeah, I can get it to show 6mpg on the instant consumption screen!

Ooohhhheeeerrrrr!!!!! Mine goes to about 12 but I'm returning 53 with some hard driving.

Range is showing 390 miles on the full tank now. When I filled up last week, the range was only showing 320 miles for the full tank.

Got the best ever today Bristol and back with a slight detour 364 miles on a full tank, think it equals 36mpg was just vapour left.

Got a 90 mile run tomorrow to get the cruise control set up, so I'll see what she's like on a motorway run. I'm really happy with 26mpg pootling round town

Range is showing 370 miles on the MFD after filling up.

Dont think you can grumble at all with them figures, my mates old 3.2 a3 on a big run would only do 18mpg and aroun 11mpg round town.

I'm very happy with it, could do quite well on a motorway run.

When I went to have the cruise control activated, I left Sheffield with 300 miles on the range, and by the time I got there, it was showing 315 miles on the range, and I'd covered 50 miles.

Real Time MPG in 6th gear at 70mph was going between 30mpg up hill, to 43mpg on the flat, and 110mpg down hill 😃

On the trip up to courtenays alys coupe turbo managed an avg of 45mpg..
