Remove silencer from irmscher Backbox

HI guys not been here for a long time been working abroad for past year but im back and ready to get my vectra in shape since last week have fitted a induction kit 4 bar fuel injectors also has pre cat removed and is sounding and going very quick but i was on the net last night and found information about removing rear silencer for louder note on exhaust so i read the tutorial sounded simple but just been out and checked my back box its the square exhaust that most sri 2.2 come with but i cant find away to do this anyone here done it before thanks....

they are quite restrictive anyway

if your purely looking for a bit extra noise then buy a remus / scorpion racing tube as they do sound nice with the letterbox [look on youtube]

cant guarantee extra performance

personally i would go with a magnex cat back if you can get your hands on one

thing is im not really wanting to change the back box i personally think the irmscher one just finishes the rear of my vectra because u get the nice square look from it yeah a straight center pipe would be good but it still doesnt solve the prob with the silencer in the back box its confusing me because you getthe silencer in your center pipe and u have one in you back box (muffler) as some people refer to it

well i had a 2.5" centre section with 2 silencers and a straight through back box and it was way too loud

i had to put the old magnex box back on with the baffles to get the right noise level and my power back

i cant knock the irmscher letterbox, they are just prone to fall apart inside

yeah a think i might just go for a straight pipe keep the silencers what kind of noise should i expect with a straight pipe i removed the pre cat and its a brand new downpipe just 4 weeks old i like the low rumble i get so dont want anything to raspy if that makes sense also could you tell me some pros and cons about the cheap chips u get on ebay everyone i speak to says different things cheers

Iv got a Remus centre(no silencers just straight through) and an irmy letterbox(same as yours) and I sounds really good, not raspy when you put your foot down and it burbbles when your sitting at the lights.
As most letterboxes mines seen better days, it's not ratling or falling apart but is not as quiet as it used to be, but to be honest I won't be changing it anytime soon. Like her just the way she is.

Been on the car now since I bought her, so almost 5years now. Looking forwards to yours once it's run in(a bit more coke,lol)
