slindborg I have a MK4 1.8 sri and its absolutely amazing in the handling stakes for a std road car. I know it wont lift off oversteer until silly scary speeds due to the throttle damping for the ECU. but is this the same for the 2.2 as I've heard that the 2.2 MK4 is a bit of a slag to point to point in etc.
cthomas443 I read in an old total vaux mag iirc that lotus had a hand in suspension setup on the mk4 astra and reconed that the 1.4 16v was the best package. My sister used to have a mk4 ls which i thought was quite thirsty.
slindborg I have as much fun in our 1.8 sri MK4 in the lanes as I do in the vx... the 'general' handling is spot on for all concerned. Its how snappy the lift off is that is key.
