Range on MID

When you flick through the displays on the Vectra to the Range remaining, what is is that decides how much range you have left in your tank? I filled up tonight to the brim and when I sat on the forecourt resetting my counters, the Range reset to 235 miles. For over £60 of fuel i'm expecting to go a little further than that.

So what works out the range??

i think it goes on your driving style on average miles per gallon and then istant mpg while driving mine tends to go up while motorway driving

dont know the answer to your question ,but when your driving along at a steady pace i think the computer works out how youve been driving for the last 9 miles or so and guages the range out by that so if youve been thrashing for 9 miles the range will be shorter as your using more fuel ..... i think lol.did the range alter once you started driving

I'm going upto Courtenay in the morning so I hope it settles once i'm on the motorway. If its only showing a range of 235 tonight it must mean that i've been driving like a reet tit for the last few days. I've been averaging around 20mpg this week.

i noticed my range go through the roof when iam cruising 65 mph on the motorway, still more miles left in tank apparently after i done 30 miles on motorway pmsl

wot is everyone's miles per gallon thingy at idle when warm, mine is 0.2

0.3 on mine. Used to be 0.2 previous to being Courtenayfied!

what does she idle at when warm

according to my obd2 device it jumps between 790 - 820

Maybe you have a fuel problem does the inlet fill with fuel and stutter when you start it?? :lol: :lol:
