Ive recently done a engine over haul on my veccy due to excess oil usage due to valve seals ive come to put it all bk together tightened up all 10 main head bolts through the correct stages and then came to tighten up the 4 timing end bolt (torx head ) one has snapped so now i have to take head off again replace head bolts and drill and tap the hole. but i cant find a part number for these 4 bolts nor can i find anywhere that supplys them they have an e12 head and 8mm thread. Also im worried about the timing chain me and a friend took the head off but we took the chain sprockets off kept the chain tensioned and tied it up so it didnt go slack and come off however i had to turn the crank to get to the piston bearing bolts to undo them to change the rings. now im worried about what will happen when its back together and i try start it will it blow? i marked the cams up correctly and refitted them as they shud be but i never marked the sprockets, they seem to fit only one way anyway but how to i no all is in the right place i.e crank and pistons and chain there are markings on the chain but i aint got a clue where it mena be as we didnt tie the chain to the sprockets like we were mena do insread we took the sprokets off :? in the haynes manual it says to turn the crank sp that no1 cylinder is at tdc do i do this before or after ive refitted the head ? any help would be appriciated
