Hi once again to all,
after months of fault diagnosis and a good couple of hundred pounds spent ( & miles on the motor ), trying to sort out my gas converted 2.2, the sunny weather made me turn on my air-con and with full pelt on the blower the car really stuggled for power. Turned it off and it drove like a dream. Fan back on, poor response from the beast, turn the rear window de-mister on and the damn thing felt like a 1.0L, turns out the alternator is on its way out and Ive not got a dodgy ECU or wiring fault.
......anyway, does anyone know the rating of the alternator for the Vectra 2.2 as Ive been offered a 100Amp and a 120Amp version, Ive been told that the 100Amp is the one for the car but a bit surely the 120Amp would be more suitable....many thanks........Nige
