CORRECT PLUGS ?

Can anyone tell me what the correct plugs to use are?
just ive heard that there is a few different ones , its for
a sri 150 if tht makes a diff?

ot try platinum NGK's from halfords

i prefer the NGK's tbh as they give a better idle and response

also use the search facility on the forum m8 as there is loads of posts about spark plugs

I was always lead to believe that genuine Vxl plugs were the ones to stay with.

i hardly noticed any difference but i just preferred how the car responded using platinums

Can't say it made any difference on my car having tried both. I'm back to standard. I changed mine for the purpose that my engine runs a lot hotter than a NA z22se. I found no improvement so put the standard ones back in. Also the platinums only have one electrode as the standard have 3.

I prefer the standard tri-electrodes, they are cheaper than you think from a VXL dealer, especially using a trade card :thumbup:

the new ford NGK platinums are out now that have 4 electrodes, apparently you can fit em to the 2.2 engine

they do use NGK platinum plugs in the 2.0 ltr zetec mondeo and they are the same part number for the z22se engine so it does make sence they fit Mike

Anyone tried the NGK iridium's, had them in my Z22XE Omega and seemed pretty good, not sure if they do them for the Z22SE though.

they last 3 or 4 times longer than normal platinum's but cost about £40 if i am not mistaken

shame there is no bosch super 4's available for the z22se

I'm using Iridium plugs in mine, but I do have a saab head

Had a look on NGK website and don't seem to do Iridium for the Vec C Z22SE.

aye i know

even the platinum NGK's are alternative parts

atm u got a choice of the bosch super + plugs, standard vxhall, NGK twin electrodes or platinums

I'm using the same head as the z20net, which has flat washer plugs rather than the z22se taper seal plugs :thumbup:
