Please Help

Hi i have a 2000 2.2 Sri 150. I have been having alot of problems with it. This morning i noticed steam coming from the engine. When i looked, it seemed to be coming from the Rocker, On further investigation and removing the coil pack i have noticed the plug chamber furthest to the right is full of water, Does anyone know what this is..................

but if that was the case i would have oil and water mixing, that aint happening

The water jacket is very close to the spark plug hole. It has been known for plugs to seize in the thread and when people have had to apply force to remove them, they have ripped a hole/crack in the thread of the head. You won't get oil/water mixing as its above the block.

you have asked the question but you already know the answer, what would u like me to say based on the information you have given

have u checked coolant hoses ?, have u got a hole in your bonnet causing water to come in, do you think it is conceivable that it could be condensation as a result of a leaking camcover gasket

is it coolant or water, does it leave a sticky oily residue on your hands after it evaporates

is it concievable that such an amount of water would enter through the coil pack and near enough tight rubber seal to the plugs

have u tried using the search facility and find the most common cause for water accumulation in the spark plug recess when u joined the forum about an hour ago

personally i am surprised she still starts up as water and electricity dont mix and it could cause further damage to your electronics
