z22se head/complete engine

Hello everyone, i'm kind of a newbie on here

I bought a y plate astra 2.2 a couple of months ago and now the engine has given up!!!

Looks like the head has been starved of oil and picked up all the metal on the camshaft journals, resulting in me needing a new head or complete engine!!!!

I bought a vectra head but they are differen't with the cam sensor hole and the egr setup is differen't aswell.

Has anyone got a head or know of any recon heads available to me?

Hi Chris,

I have a cylinder head available, my astra has just smashed a conrod through the block so engine is coming out to break for parts within next few days.
Engine has done 60,000 miles and was well looked after.

I have a z22se engine currently in a 2.2 vectra SRi.

Car needs front suspension springs replaced to pass MOT, has a crack in them, drives fine though.

The engine was rebuilt last year and has only covered 8k since, fully documented and receipts available.
