Altering Induction Kit Query

Hi guys, can someone please direct me to the link (that I have been told is on here) for placing the vacuum pipe to the inlet manifold?

Reason being is that I am purchasing a stainless steel hose (piping) which means I would also need a breather filter for the rocker cover breather.

Hope someone can help 🙂

you might want to put a catch tank on the oil breather too. Optional but you might get a bit of oil sprayin around with just a filter :thumbup:

Not sure what you mean mate :eh:

What is a catch tank on the breather? and any ideas best place to get one?

Have a look at OIL CATCH TANK in the classifieds as an option :thumbup:

Have you not read the link I posted Russ? Its all in the link, a complete guide to fitting a catch tank, induction pipe and moving the fpr pipe to the side of the inlet manifold.

I have just a filter on my breather and had no oil leaking from it and it must have been on there over a year now showo..

I stand corrected then. i would of thought for the amount of oil that gets sucked into the inlet from the standard set up it would be messy with just a filter. Mayby not then dunno..

dependant on engine burt

not all engines breath enough for oil to accumulate in the TB

regular cleaning intervals will stop the air intake pipe getting dirty

So your saying not all Z22's breath the same?

Id still rather have a catch tank than having to keep cleening it out. But its each to his own i spose.

a tired engine with suspect rings will definitely breath heavier

look at the old 1.8 / 2.0 ecotec engines, most of em have oil accumulation dribbling out of the air intake hoses down the outside of the throttle body let alone inside

also they breath like an old mans working club from the dipstick

But that would mean that my 46k engine is buggered then. My engine breathes very heavy since the day it was SC.

but yours is not a typical z22se engine

it is forced induction !
