Hi all the Z22Se enthusiasts! that's my first post in here, i have bought an Opel Astra Coupe Bertone limited edition, with that fantastic engine, the 2.2 liters..
the car has just 66700km when i bought it, all perfect except the exhaust manifold has a big cut in the middle ( if i read the forum i knowed that is typical in that engines the broke of the ex.man. around the 50- 70000 kilometers) the only thing i dont like is the feeling of the gearbox, sometimes the first gear don't enter softly, and in few cases, i need to put neutral and another time try to put first gear (with the clutch obviously putted to the floor) the first thing i maked was changing the trans oil, and refill it 0.25 liters up, and i feel the change, a little bit softly the gear-in, but, today and without explication, the gearbox is too rude, not make any metallic sound or something like that, but it's too rude to enter the gears.. i try to explain ( im from Barcelona, sorry for my bad bad english :S)
i read that the early astras with the f23 have a problem in the synchros of the gearbox,and i you in the first or second year of warranty go to the opel and claim for another gearbox cause that problem, opel changes entirely in warranty. It's that true? my car is from february 2002, and i don't have, obviously warranty.
anyone know a repairkit for my f23 if the problem are the synchros? or anyone know another cause of that ?
