What Bhp are you running?

What Bhp you 2.2 owners running? I would like to think I had 160bhp with my chip but I am no longer chipped as my Ecu broke :cry: . I would like to think I am about 15+bhp at least with the mods I have...

Cool, I would love to have mine near to 170bhp. I think I will try this year to reach that 😃. Whats it like on fuel with the re map?

lol no worries mate.

not great tbh, about 24 - 25 mpg around town (going by fuel comp) but 40 mpg on the motorway (calculated) with the cruise control on so thats not too bad.

i think there is a guy on vvoc who has 167 bhp out of his 2.2 not sure what he's done though.

Cool. I noticed on a forum last night some lad with a Vectra has the Supercharger fitted to the 2.2 :shock: . Now that would be fun :twisted: . I wonder what mpg he gets on that :?

was done at courtney's and was the first on the 2.2.

I noticed he is having teething problems already as I saw in a post it's stalling. It's still a lot of cash for the supercharger conversion at £5000. My car has had a few trips to Courtney Sport. It had the superchip fitted by them.

how did you find the superchip? was gonna get one myself but was convinced by regal that the remap was the better option. probably lying through there back teeth lol.

It was fitted to the car when I bought it from the last owner. Now I have my new Ecu fitted I have noticed a drop in power but not alot, probably just flat spots. I was told the superchip and the re map are about the same thing? I will probably get one again or just a map to fine tune my car 😃

well with my remap i gained just under 1bhp at max power with little gains through out the rev range but it improved the drivability a fair bit.

I liked the chip as it's suppost to make your car run better on fuel and gives it a little more bhp 😃 . Now I don't have my chip I think it's a little worse on fuel. I will have to see next time I fill it right up. I think the map also helps out with the fuel 🙂

yeah i was told that the mpg would be better with the remap which in fairness it was a little. it also raised the rev limiter though i'm not sure what to cos i never asked lmao!!!

I wish I had checked my rev limiter to what it was, and then again with the standard Ecu on without the chip :roll:

was racing a v6 sri once and getting carried away got to a touch below 7,000 rpm. wouldn't have thought it'd go much higher than that

Hello all. I'm new on here but it looks like there's a few of you on the other sites that I go on.

I've got a Vectra 2.2 SRi 150 with a few bits done.

Longlife Stainless Steel Cat-back system
200 Cell per-inch Sport Cat
Pre-cat Removed
Courtenay Modified Cylinder Head
Courtenay Remap
K&N Panel Filter
Airbox Mods
Cool Stat

Now running 174.4 bhp and 163lbs/ft of torque.

Courtenays advise that these are initial figures as the head needs time to build up carbon which should increase performance after a few 1000 miles.

That sound one nice car there Johnny, I bet it wasn't cheap getting her up to 174 bhp especially with that cylnder head.

This little lot came to just over £2000. I also had to have new inlet valve guides made as Vauxhall don't supply them other than in a new head.

But, it was worth every single penny. I live 262 miles away from Norfolk, COURTENAY SPORT is the Holy Land for Vauxhall Tuning!!
