Hi again, just picking up on something I read in another thread and thinking out loud. My Zafira is going to be with me for at least another two, maybe more, years ( can't afford to replace as saving to emigrate ! ) so I was wondering what other power units would be a straight-ish swap for the 2.2 if it were to die, given their relative rarity and high second-hand value ? Obviously I could go down to the 1.8 ( not ideal after getting used to the Z22...) but what other options are there ? Would a 2.5 V6 go into the Zafira, are there any similarities between the two motors ( I know there are 2 extra pots 😃 ). How would gearbox etc mate up, is the 2.5 Vectra driveline the same as the 2.2 ? So many questions, any thoughts anyone ?
