walk through for porting inlet manifold

hello all

Has anyone got a walk through for porting the inlet manifold? i am sure i have seen one somewhere but cant find it. if not am i best to just buy the 2.4 inlet manifold and what are the pros????

I got some good gains porting the standard inlet manifold, but for my engine the 2.4 was very good :thumbup:

The 2.4 inlet manifold has proven to show gains and losses depending on what mods have been carried out already on your car. Some people have had minor success with this mod and other have had torque losses. In my book i'd be rather gaining torque as this is the power that is usable and noticeable. BHP at the extremes of your rev limit are unuseable.

the standard 2.2 manifold responds well to some mild porting :thumbup:

I replaced that with a 2.4 manifold and then replaced that with throttle bodies 8)

i know what you have done vocky, ive read your many thousands of postings
i was asking papamatt.

my thoughts are avoid it (2.4 manifold) until you have cams, head, exhaust etc

port the original or do something differnt and fit the saab aluminium inlet
