I'm wondering if anyone can help me on the following?

My 2001 2.2 Vectra sri is producing black, sooty smoke at over 4500 revs when accelerating, its isn't losing power or running badly (apart from the clouds!) but fuel can also be smelt outside when it's idling. any ideas what it could be?

No lights on. bulb works in the management light? It is losing oil, but is does have a leak between the gearbox and engine?

yeh i just had an oil leak there and it cost me £330 in total, fricking main seal was leaking

sounds like your front lambda is worn, worth taking your plugs out and seeing what colour they are
