golfpaul Do Vauxhall do a special tool to remove the oil filter threaded cap? If not - how the hell do ya remove it?! Ive had an adjustable on there, a socket and a spanner and i cant move it. Any ideas? Ta.

golfpaul Yeah ive tried with a 32, but theres a metal pipe above the cap, the pipe obstructs the ratchet and socket.

vinceboy I just got an ordinary 32mm open ended spanner, cut it down to size, filed the rough edges and hey presto, works a treat.
MikeS remember it is made out of plastic if you were to take it off then ideally u need all 4 sides to take the pressure not just 2 very easy to crack !

Drakey I was lucky when I had mine, it was loose and came off with very little force......I know what you mean by being akward to get to tho`.
golfpaul Got the little swine off eventually. Ended up getting a 32mm low profile socket which just about worked. The cap was on mega tight btw... A half hour job turned out to be more like half a day - good innit! 😃
