Location of Coolant sensor

I have a 2001 Vectra and I can't seem to find the coolant sensor for the temp gauge? in the haynes it says its located in the thermostat housing and has a single blue wiring going to it, all I can find is the sensor for the engine management which has two wires a blue/red and a brown... Im stuck anyone able to help?

I need to change it as i think its the cause of the temp gauge not working all the time...

the coolant temp sensor works for both the dash and ECU
you need to replace that, about £15 quid at dealership

nope, only the single temp sensor

In haynes the z22se has it's own section, after bit for the 1.8 and 2.0 engines.

depends what version of haynes he got, the pre face vectra's didnt have the 2.2 engine
