air con pipe broken

red arrow shows broken pipe. Is this common? how much to fix? anybody got a spare? or a good cheap supplier (pref near glasgow or mail order) cheers

I think itÂ´s quite common in these engines.. Do you have a bracket in that place? Some of the z22se doesnÂ´t have, and then pipe moves too much and it breaks .

no bracket on bulkhead side of joint.

as said above its a common fault with these engines and there was a recall to fit a bracket to stop it happening, this is what it looks like

This pipe from the L/H side costs £97 inc. vat.

yep as above is common and a recall
if you still under 60.000 miles
give the recall centre a ring 01189458502 have your chassis number at hand

I've got 2 new sets of aircon pipes for a Vectra. I'll have a look and see what part number they are to see if they fit the 2.2
I'm down in Irvine if you want them and they only cost £15 from me.

So if this goes and your Vectra is under 60k it will get done on recall?

Im sure my air con doesnt work properly, compared to everyone elses in different cars, theres its freezing, where as mine is just like switching on cold air out of the vents, doesnt go cold or out like that.

that could be just because it needs re gasing

Ignorant scum would be how I describe Vauxhall now :evil: ... tried recall line.. my car doesnt exist??? called head office was told they have 'no technical data or facilities available to them' and to contact a vauxhall dealer. called local dealer talked to service dept £500 to do camchain and no chance of pipe. Last gm car I buy I'm sad to say. 🙁

check system for pressure, at valve(stand well back when trying... use a screwdriver wrap hand in a rag etc) regassing costs between £40 and £100 depends where you go.

as above mate should cost in the region of £50 but all depends where you go

Just checked out what pipes I have and they are 90569950.
They fit every Vectra apart frm the 2.2 🙁

The same pipe has broken on my Veccy, I think its a long pipe that goes all the way down to the aircon rad, ment to be a ******* to change.

Thinking about changing it myself and then getting one of those mobile aircon guys to check it and fill it back up
