i manged to get hold of a standard down pipe n cat with pre cat removd off ebay n having it fitted today.. See if this will make a change from the old tractor noise im getting now

At worst its going to be the manifold cracked. Plenty available for small money. Make sure that you use a new gasket when you join the new downpipe to the manifold too. Part Number 9198091

All good now turns out there was a bolt had shreaded off and causeing the manifold to open evry time i gave it some beans..

new bolt, new gasket sounds so much better, but blady hell its deep, and loud lol.. even the garage said its made a differnce..

still got a problem manifold not cracked garage has checked it.. had new gasket seals,

they get that hot and cold eventually the surfaces warp, usually the blowing reduces as the manifold warms up, if it is the opposite then it could be a crack

on the x20xev / x18xe engine it was virtually impossible to stop leaks on the manifold
