New head for my vec

Hi guys, Ive got myself a vec c sri in star silver (z22se) on a 53 plate. Its only done 23000 miles but has been in and out of stealers for 2 months trying too find out where an oil leek is coming from. Well they have finally fixed it, a cracked head, at 23000 miles!!! Well its fixed now, so all is good, yes? Well i'm not to sure. Got it back today so I gave it the once over, took the oil cap of to find horror of horror emulsified oil! Now you might say cracked head well what do you expect. I constantly check the oil cap and looked at it the day it went in and it was all clean. So do you recon this is just cos of the head change or do you think they have not put it on properly, over or under tightened it?

could be just condesation or they have just been moving round the car park this usally happens if you do very short trips and the engine does not warm up
clean it off go for a good long run and check again is my advise

new head at 23,000 miles, thats shocking.

i know Mark was having condensation in his 2.2 engine before he sold it, don't know if he cured it but as Gaz says take it on a long run and check again.

was looking in the trade club book today,new head £155,was well shocked at how low the price was..

I picked my car up from having a service recently and they had done an oil change. I only live 2 miles away and when I got home, I gave the car the once over, I took the oil cap off just to check that the oil was clean and I noticed milky looking oil on the cap. Its all okay now though, so I'm assuming its just condensation.

Easy way to tell is there'll be oily muck floating around in the expansion tank if there was a major problem.
