pipework on silicone air intake?

hi all, i'll be fitting the new silicone air intake pipe this weekend, and i'm using a 't' peice so the breather will be in the pipework still and the ats will, think i'm going into the silicone with that to keep it away from breather?
but not 100% sure on the little one near the TB? does it re-route to the blanked off feed under the TB near inlet?

any pics would help greatly?

That small pipe near the TB is the FPR pipe (Fuel Pressure Regulator Pipe). Have you got the standard inlet manifold? If so, there is a spare take off point on the R/H side of the inlet manifold that's got a black rubber nipple on it. Just reposition the FPR pipe to the side of the inlet manifold.

thanks mate, after reading through threads thought it was the fpr, and was 99% sure thats were it had to go!

anyone comment on were to put the ats? which is easier to drill? alloy pipe or silicone?

Try and get the ATS as near to where it would be normally. In the ally pipe is fine. Make sure that the sensor faces the airbox once fitted. (clip towards the airbox).

if your gonna put it in the silicone try and use a spare bit first to get yor hole size perfect if its like the silicone i used the walls were very thick and the ats didnt just pop in like i thought it would and i had to glue it so a nice tight fit is best

The correct hole size is 22mm. I drilled mine with a stepped sheet metal drill. See below.

Make sure that you don't go oversize or else the grommet won't hold in the hole.

i'm not fitting it til sunday but as i have a 't' off for breather in the alloy pipe it leaves no/little room for the ATS so it has to be put into the silicone near the airbox.

i have a bit of spare silicone from the extra bit cut-off the 90' bend so had a trial with that, got the hole drilled through with a wood hole sutter but the problem i'm having is that the silicone is too thick for the grommet to sit secure in it, i have tried another grommet i had with a deeper centre and fits better but its not quite small enough for the ATS to be secure, it doesn't fall out but its no were near as tight as the OE fit.

i now have two choices,

1) use OE grommet and glue/silicone around the grommet for a more secure seal?
or
2) use the other grommet and glue/silicone the ATS into it for a more secure seal?

so not 100% sure which way i'm going to go yet?
