Well, I have the rocker cover off, cams spin cleanly, valve travel is clean with no knocks or sticking, with all the valves in the closed position, even the cam to rocker to valve clearances look perfect no extra movement or clearance is present. the engine spins quite freely too, still need to check for piston top damage though, head comming off this weekend but going to do a compression test first as the cam movement looks so good. Thanks for the heads up on the pistons, will really bugger my plans if they have gouge marks 🙂

If you look at the pic which shows the left side of the head there is a large hole with a small one, think this is for a cam sensor or some such, now this hole isn't present on my current head so the question is will it fit and can that be blanked off or would i need to find the gizmo that goes there in order to use it.
