Exhaust Fitted

Today I got my exhaust fitted by Powerflow. When I booked it in they asked me how loud I wanted it, I just said not too loud. Well after driving it today it sounds not far from the standard exhaust, I wanted a little sporty tone but it's too late now. The tips I picked are 4" slash cut, thats what they said was best to fit on my car when I booked it in. Whats do you think? Also does the 2.0 Turbo have a middle box as mine has on this new system, the middle box is not far off from the middle of the car, near to the hangars for the exhaust.

Lol, does anyone know if having the middle box fitted will make my car any slower? Does it hold the gases back?

i would say it restricts it in someway but that will be just to reduce the noise but i cant see it effecting any performance?

Looks good Mark, I think the middle box is just there to help keep the noise levels down.

Looks great to me Mark. The centre section is fine and would be better that way. As mentioned, helps keep the noise down. It won't hold anything back. The pipe still travels through the front of the box and exits at the rear but the tube will be perforated whilst in the box to allow the noise deaden. No restrictions.

If I thought that a centre section restricted power then there wouldn't be one on my car. Even the heavily tuned Astra VXR running 300bhp has a centre section. All be it the pipe diameter is 3 inch +!!

You will find a change in noise/tone after a few months. It may well get slightly louder but it won't be obtrusive.

very smart mark. liking them alot and at a good price too.
yer the powerflow system do get a bit louder over time.

I think it feels better to dive, Do you lot think the pipes should have been in a little more? Ie flush. I have a sound clip, just need to get it online. Give me 5 mins 🙂
