You need 2 tools. First, you need an adapter which you can screw into the spark thread an which is connected to air pressure. The cylinder you are working on has to have all valves closed. So you have the air pressure in the cylinder. When you loose the valve it cannot fall into the cylinder. Für pushing the valve springs down, you need one of theese tools:

There are different types of tools with different layout, but they all work similar.
Thats it. Never heared of someone pushing the valves against the piston... Who does that kind of things?
