Head/Cam Question

Gday guys,
I am new to this forum and i thought i'd start with a question
I'm from Australia and have an 04 Astra with a z22se.
Made a funny noise the other day while driving along,like a slight squek from the engine.
Pulled over straight away and turned it off.then it wouldnt idle and squeeked like mad.
Towed it home and pulled it apart.
Found that No.5 and No.4 cam bearings are No good but no other damage is visible.

Now my question is,
Are there cam bearings in there or are the cam blocks themselves the bearings?
Also under the cam(havent taken it right out yet)are there shells under there or is this part of the head?

this problem seems to be occuring more often these days, not exactly sure why.

the bearings are part of the head, so the head is scrap 🙁

it's best to check the oil pick up pipe in the sump and replace the oil pump as your head has suffered oil starvation 🙁

Will pull it apart and have a squiz at the rest of the engine
