kl515285 I am buying a 2.2 Vectra 2001 SRi from a work colleague. I asked him to call the dealer and enquire about the cam chain (The chassis number is before the range listed in the bulletin listed elsewhere on this site). The response was "bring it in and we'll do it free" so easy.

Santa Ive got a sri 150 on a 51 plate, year 2001, with 48k on the clock, when will i need mine done? Roughly?
Andy well they are meant to last the life of the engine although a few have advised at 100k but mines done over that.
opel_cdx I called vauxhall direct, no record of my car at recall line ... customer care couldnt care less nor the dealer... pissed off big time.. mine is one of the first 2.2s still on orig chain etc @ 85k
