Vectra b traction control switch.

This is what i got up to today, I fitted a new volt meter and wired in a traction control switch 😃

Traction control switch bought for all of 5 english pounds from ebay:

Here it is again with the mess i made of my dash behind it:

It took me about an hour to do and was a prity easy job. Had to clear the fault with my obd2 reader after i had finished and after that it works a treat. Theres nothin like the smell of tire smoke 😃

yeh i had to clear the faults before the TC turned off, the switch worked though lol

I'd heard it was possible to fit a traction control switch to my vectra... but wasnt sure about how to do it...

I've been told that all the 2.2 SRI vectras have traction control, but it was an option to have the switch to turn it on or off. I was also told that all the wiring for the switch should still be there, even on the ones without the button.

Is it correct that the switch will need adapting in, or is it simply a case of buy the switch, connect it, fit it and erase any faults stored as a result? (does the car already know what to do with the switch once installed?)

I looked in my manual but it mentioned nothing about a switch for the TC so i thought what i had been told might have been wrong until i saw this post...

When i fitted mine there was no wires there for it i had to run a wire from the passenger kick panel and used the wires from where the drivers heated seat switch is meant to be. i have a how 2 some where.
