Hi there, I've had a rattle on my 2001 vectra 2.2 for a few weeks and its been running a bit lumpy on idle. Its been ok when you put your foot down though. After switching engine off it now refuses to start or try to fire. Been told the chain has probably snapped or slipped, but there was no crunch of internals that i noticed, or wouldn't you hear anything? Is there an easy way to check the chain as i can't take the car anywhere and can't really afford to get someone to come and take it to bits on my driveway?????
