The benefits are that your ecu settings will be optimised and the car will feel better on the road, but don't expect big gains as nothing as physically changed - ie it's the same engine sucking in the same amount of air through the same intake etc etc.
If you're planning on any physical engine mods, get them done first and then get a remap last to optimise everything
