Intermitent Power Loss-Sri150

My missus owns a 2000 Sri 150 that randomy loses power for about 2-3 seconds then picks up and is fine again, it can do this 2-3 times on a journey or not at all.
Being a vw man :wink: myself i'm at a bit of a loss as to where to look for the problem.
There is no EML on.
Chains have been done.
Plugs looks ok.
Coil pack swapped and no difference.
Any ideas please?

i have a 2.2 150 and i get a hesitation on accelerating but i put that down to the oil that lies in the inlet manifold being burnt and oiling the plugs

fuel pick up pipe in the tank,or the swirl pot,i presume it only does when you get down to about 1/4 tank and below ,anything above is normally fine.i have the same trouble on mine ,i keep well topped up never have any trouble till i get to 1/4 tank and below.i've got another tank ,but not got around to doing it yet

i know its in the tank ,not 100% sure but i think its a plastic casing round the fuel pump,only going by what ive been told by different people ,sometimes they crack,could be wrong
