Speed Dial Mark?

Hi, Can anyone tell me what the red mark at 30mpg on the speed dial means, Its just all the rest are black apart from that one on my Astra. Just thought I’d ask.

It's the same on my Vectra C, but 30mph and 70mph are highlighted. I think it's just for the speed limits.

i thought maybe the 30mark was the slowest you could go in 5th gear. :lol: i think you're right

i always thought it was something to do with speedlimt in most areas.

i think it is for UK drivers to tell 30 mph is the max speed in residential areas and 70mph is the speed on motorways

did u notice why there is an icon on the petrol gauge, the icon is either o nthe left or right hand side of the gauge to indicate what side the fuel cap is on to fill your car up [for woman drivers no doubt 😛], though i have made the same mistake several times when driving a new car showo..

I never noticed that before, I've had a look at some ford dials, where the cap is on the left hand side, and the dial shows the fuel sign on the left!
