Darrin Hi my cam chain snapped on my Vectra 2002 B after turning the engine off ?????. Do you think it would be more cost effective to replace any damaged valves and fit new cam chain kit or find and fit a complete new/used engine. notsure.gif
Drakey I had a chain jump 2 teeth after a shattered guide, most of the valves bent, and a top end rebuild of £1300!!!! I needed the car quick thoand didnt shop around.....depends on who you know and what you know???
S16kev I had chain jump on mine 8 bent valves plus guides cam and balencer chains new head bolts and gaskets parts total inc getting the guides fitted £345.00 done the labour myself.
vocky probably cheaper to repair, expect the inlet valves to be bent I have a spare set of inlet valves if you do decide to repair yourself
