I know you all love your Vauxhalls and spending your hard earned cash on modding them but I thought (as Ive actually done some things), Id post up whats been going on since Ive left the Vxl fraternity and gone all Kia.
Well...this is how it started, brand new, nice and shiney, and I was really impressed with it.
First purchase was a decent set of fitted car mats. Car came with a few nice extras - chrome scuff plates on the sills - sports pedals - & no need for door pins as there aren`t any !!!
Next was to make use of the ipod connectivity, when not in use I didn`t want too much stuck on the dash so I just found the smallest phone holder I could and removed the protective foam so that I could fit the ipod touch in.
Next was forum Decals as I have had them on previous cars.
Thanks to the use of Neils time and garage facilities we painted the brake calipers.
The rear was debadge and thanks to a link on the forum I had a new boot badge made up with my forum/nickname. Possibly to be replaced soon.
Depends if they have to remove it when they spray the boot.
The top notch car nut would now post that they have spent £6000 on a SuperCharger conversion but I unfortunately cant - Kates new wages went on another Kia.
Again thanks to Neil for fitting the lowering springs for me, suprisingly Kia used Eibachs.
Not to everyones taste but for some reason, when raining - with the windows open, it waterfalls in to the car, and the kids tend to want the window down a little when in the car (plus Kate`ll have a crafty smoke once in a while)
Last of the big spenders - £1.49 from Sainsburys, check out that carbon effect look lol.
The one I had looked a little tatty so thought this would do.
The standard aerial looked like it would have better suited a bumper car or a C.B. enthusiasts, so Ive opted for a smaller one....unfortunately Heart FMs signals a little weak so Kate has to listen to Radio 1 when in the car with me.
...and so far that`s it....and what it looks like now.
