vectra sri 150 smoking

i have a vectra sri 150 regestered on a 02 plate ,i bought the car last year with head damage the timming chains had snapped all the work was done on the cylinder head ,now the engine is smoking when i put the foot down but not when im driving and drop a gear can anyone help also will i have to change the timming chain tensioner when i take the head off its coming up for a year old

I'd be looking at replacing the valve guides/seals. Chances are that when the head was repaired that there may have been a cracked guide??

Look at the pistons and rings, if the chain has snapped then the valves will have hit the piston tops ( like mine) and the rings will all be stuck solid.
Not that im a mechanic but i seem to have had it in pieces more than ive driven it lately.
