Pro Drive bumper fitting..

How many people on here have the Pro Drive Astra front bumper fitted? I know baz has one. The thing I need to know is how well does it fit on the sides. The last bumper I had fitted very good (normal Sri one). This Pro Drive one sits a little bit away from the wing on the corners notsure.gif . I know we should have 2 spacers when fitting the bumper, as that may help a little to pull it in a bit better, but I could only find one of them 🙁. Any info would be great.

thats the same as mine m8 on the pass side its sits a couple af mms out but its attached fine and is solid 😃 mine had the full fitting kit and included the 2 white plastic spacers without them it wouldnt be secure

I am missing one of those spacers 🙁. It's sitting fine anyways, just a little bit out on one side, the side without the spacer. Cheers for the info 🙂

Is there any chance you cuold stick up a picture of these spacers as ever since mine came back after i bumped it , the thing has never sat right and its now starting to annoy me as i think it stands out a mile. Cheers in advance.

Yes I will try and sort a picture out for you. They come with the bumper so they must play some sort of part at keeping the bumper on right 🙂

Nice one. Mine definately isnt right as the bumper is as good as loose.

Once you have the spacers sorted out it may still stick out. Under the bonnet take out the 2 plastic rivit things and pull the bumper forward out of the wide gripper bit and see if this makes a difference. I am taking the bumper off mine soon so I can put spacers between the bumper panel and chassis legs to get it to fit better without drilling new holes for the rivits and it fits into the gripper nicely.

Finally got round to removing my bumper today and found that the offside spacer wasnt even fitted so the screw was pulling the bumper too far forward. Half an hour on my lathe and four tonnes of nylon filings later i turned one down to fit. Now it sits ok at the sides but still has a tendency to drop under the headlights. On closer inspection i noticed that the two polystyrene blocks that sit on the cross member are also missing.
Has any body got a picture of these blocks so i can have a go at chiselling some out. Thanks in advance. :wink:

they are very cheap from vx i think surely a piece of foam not that dear if i come accross any i will get them for who needs them....
