What pistons and head do you run now? Not sure, but think the LSJ.Saab metal head gasket is a tad thinner than the 2,2's, so maybe that can up your compression a bit.

Am running wiseco 8.9 trying to remember if they have a recess for the valves in them

there's more than 3mm valve clearance on the stock head and pistons with the 12mm lift Schrick cams

valve clearance is not a risk here

yes they are the right diameter but the pin for the rod is a different diameter, so would require cutom rods.

Although could be a winner for a 2.0 crank, de stroker for some revs 😃

IIRC big end is the same but different length so unless your going for ultra low compression you'd need the 2.0 steel crank. Buy which poing you may as well just use a Saab short engine and get the cooling jets as well.

actually, the 2.0 crank is a 4-counterweight stuff, not a 8 one, so would not be as happy as thought with high revs :crazy:

wouldnt that be semi outweighed by the shorter stroke giving lower rod angles an all that jizz.
