Mark_Dj How do you stop water marks on a car? They are all over my black Vectra Sri after washing it. I am now thinking of getting a machine polisher to get rid of them after washing it. Cheers for any info
Matt How are you drying it Mark? I never get water marks on mine since using a quick detail spray and a good drying cloth.
Drakey I struggled for ages with that Mark....how do you dry your car? I started using a Meguires waffle and that helped ten fold. I also use the frowned upon Spray & Shine - really quick to apply over all surfaces and I find it awesome to use. (supposed to be a water-less wash system but I mainly use it to remove the dreaded water marks after a good wash) viewtopic.php?f=39&t=10379&p=114568&hilit=proshine#p114568
Matt I use this: Chemical Guys - Synthetic Quick Detailer http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing ... d_146.html Chemical Guys - Miracle Dryer Ultra Plush 25" x 36" http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-a ... d_362.html Which reminds me, I need some more quick detailer, as mine is just about run out.
Mark_Dj This is how I do my car. Watering can to wet the car first Two Buckets method to clean the car 03 Once the full car is washed I look at all the water marks then cry as the car has dried up 🙁 Auto Glym the car to get the shine up and water marks out I have never dried my car off before, ever. Is that how I am doing it wrong? If I need to dry it first when do I need to dry it off? Do I wash the full car first then go round drying it off, or do a pannel at a time? Whats the best dry cloth to use? Cheers
Mark_Dj JohnnyN said: Water marks are caused by hard water. Have you also been washing it in the sun? Just washed it in the sun now, the car was dry once I got to the first part I started. I had some big water marks today. Cheers
Matt You really need to dry the car off Mark, see the products I have posted earlier in the thread. If they are quite bad, and they aren't being removed by washing/drying, then it may be worth while claying the car to get them removed.
Mark_Dj They are hidden under the Auto Glym, it shinned over the top of the water marks I think lol. I can't see them as bad now. I will look into getting a towl for drying off. It took me ages to do my full car

Drakey Definately makes a difference drying, maybe a few panels at a time, I was really chuffed with the Meguires towel and posted a thread on it, Matt replyed with the towel he mentioned in this thread, thats something on my next to buy list. The Chemical Guys - Miracle Dryer Ultra Plush 25" x 36"
Matt The chemical guys towel is friggin' massive as well. I can dry the whole Vectra without having to wring it out.
Mark_Dj Do you recommend anything else to get from that site, I will be getting the towl for sure. Cheers
Sjdickso Get some quick detailer while you are at it you wont be dissapointed and if you are after a budget but good wax for black go with some Nattys blue.

rushy Megs Last Touch for me. Brilliant as a drying aid really does keep those water spots at bay Diluted 1:1 US gallon lasts ages. http://www.monzacarcare.com/products/?c ... rch%20term And for the final bling Z8, add some protection as well so helps stop water spots etching into the paintwork. http://www.zainoeurope.com//index.php/z ... l/p_8.html
