golfpaul Ive a 2001 Vectra and only have one key for it. Where can i get a new key cut and how much is it likely to cost? Cheers. 😃
JohnnyN You'll have to go to Vauxhall as the keys have transponders in them that communicate with the ECU when starting the engine. A normal key won't start the car. You will need to take your 'Car Pass' identification with you to the dealer as it has all the relevant info for them to process a new key. It will also have to be coded to the car once it arrives. Probably looking at around £80 to £100 all together.
golfpaul Just a thought - can a vectra B be unlocked manually with the key without the alarm sounding, mine goes off if i unlock by turning the key... cheers.
JohnnyN You should be able to lock/unlock the car by turning the key in the lock and the alarm should arm/disarm as normal without pressing the buttons on the key.
