Just a quick 2.4 TB question.

So here I have a nice door stop as i'm sure many of us have. From the other main thread, getting round the electronics has proved a no go and it looks like its easier to get hold of a SC one. So then, could you transplant the workings from a 2.2 one into the 2.4, so the plug, electric and gears are all 2.2 but there mated to the shaft and housing of the 2.4? Would that still throw it into limp? notsure.gif

I was going to try this but like you said the shaft has like a wiper arm that travels over a PCB ribon and is soldered into place??

Mmm, nothing to lose though as it useless at the moment. Might see if I can find a cheap working 2.2 TB on good old flea bay to play with. :shifty:

i tried to dismantle one once but as you say, it seems like there is a bit welded onto the end of the shaft

I found exactly the same rik was going to dismantle my old one as i have a spare but didn't want to F£$k up a perfectly good TB might have another go like rushy says nothing to lose
