Rattling noise from engine with newer chain kit.

Has anybody had any problems with the newer chain/tensioner? My 2.2 rattles a bit when starting cold engine.. it rattles just about 1-2 secs, then the noise is gone... And it doesnÂ´t rattle when starting warm engine.

One place is the hydraulic lash adjusters that could do it too... Anybody had problems with them? GM changed the chain when had 40k in it, and it has now 51k..

It just sounds like the oil lack at the top of the engine until it's reached when started up. It's common on a few cars, nothing to worry about. 🙂

Sounds like hydraulic tappets to me, a common thing with these engines, but nothing to worry about.

Flush the engine every oil change(6k) and use decent oil, might help to quieten it down.
