What twats they are to remove. I have broke two clips that hold the front bumper and the back bumper on (One on the front and one on the back bumper). The torque fixing have rusted that much you can't get them undone. The only other way is to rip it off :x

yeah i know what you mean when i put the gsi bumper on,the torxs screws were a frigging nightmare to undo with them being rusty and at an awkward angle cuz of the stupid pipes in the way.having said that i've had the bumper off several times now to do various jobs and it is a doddle now ,plus having a single cold air feed ,the original pipes are all gone which is a lot easeier to access

I know, when I take bumpers off now I tend to grease them up a little so they come off better next time round. I've ripped my back one off from one side, and it's split a little on the inside.

how come you took them of ,have you got some vxr bumpers.btw the car looks nice

I took them off to give it a good clean behind, those are the places that never get done lol. I might take the side skirts off next. Also I think I will give under the bonnet a good clean up. Women can't clean a cars like us lol. I would love a Vxr back bumper, I can't fit the front one as they don't fit the older style shape like mine ie around the lights and bonnet.

I found the front bumper on mine really easy to remove, the only trouble I has was with the plastic push rivets on the bottom. There were only 2 fitted, and broke them tryin to get them out. Only cost 86p for 4 new ones.

Back bumper off is my next job before winter to get it all waxed up.

Mine is all done now Matt. Is your rear beam rusty? The part that goes from the back wheels to each side. I undersealed mine yesterday, that part looks like a bolt on part, it's the part above the exhaust at the rear. The front cradle tends to get rusty also.
